Transaction Services Specialist, FDD - Senior Manager / Associate Director

About the role

PwC Australia is hiring a Senior Manager / Associate Director in its Transaction Services team, based in Melbourne, to lead financial due diligence and advisory engagements for private equity, infrastructure, listed and private clients. The role guides major transactions and delivers data-driven insights on value drivers, risks and opportunities across the deals lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver complex, well-structured financial due diligence, producing high-quality insights that support major transactions
• Oversee buy-side and sell-side engagements, analysing financial performance, key value drivers and risks
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior executives, turning analysis into clear, actionable recommendations
• Build deep sector and client understanding so clients can make informed investment decisions
• Leverage PwC's advanced tools, including AI and analytics, to improve delivery and the client experience
• Lead, coach and develop junior team members
• Contribute to the growth of the Transaction Services practice

Required profile

• Strong core experience in transaction services; a background in external audit, corporate finance or valuations may be relevant
• Solid experience working with leading private equity, corporate and infrastructure clients
• Relevant professional qualifications and/or degree (e.g. CA/CPA, CFA, FINSIA, MBA, Master of Finance)
• Ability to build and maintain lasting internal and client relationships

Required skills

• Proficiency in AI, digital tools and emerging technologies for financial analysis
• Strong analytical capability and clear communication of complex insights
• Commercial acumen and sound judgment
• Preferred: Alteryx, business valuations, cash flow analysis, earnings quality, deal structures
