Training Support Lead – Technical (US Deployments)

About the role

The Training Support Lead – Technical will oversee a team of Deployment Leads supporting technical and trade disciplines during a 18‑24 month deployment to Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Reporting to the International Training Support Manager, you will ensure training objectives are met while maintaining safety and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate goals clearly, codify expectations and monitor progress.
• Identify and mitigate risks to the SSN‑Sustainment Program and personnel.
• Provide feedback to ASC management to establish consistent guardrails.
• Mentor team members, fostering a positive culture and professional development.
• Recommend and implement process improvements within the department.

Required profile

• Relevant technical qualification in a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience supporting operational delivery in a complex program.
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience.
• Ability to work autonomously in a dynamic environment with contractual and cost‑allocation constraints.
• Understanding of safety process management, Australian & ISO standards, and trade‑related codes of practice.
• Australian citizenship and eligibility for NV1 defence clearance.
