Training Specialist – Hospitality Renewals

About the role

The Training Specialist – Hospitality Renewals will coordinate and facilitate front‑line service training across ALH Hotels’ portfolio, ensuring venues are fully prepared for relaunch and delivering strategic guest‑experience initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver dynamic, engaging training sessions to front‑line staff, managers and new hires, adapting style to diverse audiences and property needs.
• Coordinate scheduling, resources and logistics for training events linked to hotel renewals, new acquisitions and performance‑improvement projects.
• Travel extensively to conduct on‑site training for renewal launches and intensive service improvement.
• Implement a Train‑the‑Trainer program to empower managers and supervisors to sustain ongoing training.
• Support the design and maintenance of a comprehensive library of guest‑experience training modules, including facilitator guides, workbooks, job aids and e‑learning content.
• Collaborate with leadership to measure training effectiveness and ROI using metrics such as mystery‑shop scores, Guest Satisfaction Surveys and team‑member engagement.

Required profile

• 3‑5+ years of hands‑on hospitality operations experience in F&B, gaming or accommodation hotels.
• Proven facilitation, public speaking and presentation skills with the ability to create a positive learning environment.
• Experience in a training and development role focused on guest service and hospitality.
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, HR, Education or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Willingness to travel extensively within the state and interstate.
• Current unrestricted Australian driver’s licence.

• Instructional design for in‑person and digital learning platforms.
• Adult learning principles and service‑training methodologies.
• Ability to develop training materials such as facilitator guides, workbooks, job aids and e‑learning modules.
