Training Facilitator – Employability Skills

About the role

APM Group is seeking a Training Facilitator to deliver Employability Skills Training (EST) to participants, helping them become more competitive in the local labour market. The role involves facilitating sessions, providing one‑on‑one coaching, and collaborating with community partners.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate engaging, tailored sessions on employability, job readiness and foundational skills.
• Provide one‑on‑one coaching to build confidence, set career goals and overcome barriers.
• Design and adapt training materials to meet diverse learner needs and incorporate industry trends.
• Monitor learner progress through assessments, feedback and reporting.
• Promote the EST program through community outreach, social media and networking events.
• Collaborate with employment consultants, community organisations and employers to align training with job market demands.
• Maintain accurate records, adhere to regulatory standards and contribute to quality assurance processes.

Required profile

• Experienced career counsellor or career development trainer.
• Ability to use specialised career assessment tools and develop individual career pathways.
• Strong relationship‑building, networking and service promotion skills.
• Eligibility to work in Australia, current driver’s licence and insured vehicle.
• Willingness to complete criminal history and Working with Children checks.

Required skills

• Facilitation and coaching skills for diverse cohorts including youth, mature‑age job seekers and culturally diverse groups.
• Ability to design and adapt training materials based on industry trends and employer feedback.
