About the role
Fork Force Australia, one of Australia's largest independent forklift companies, is looking for a Trades Assistant to join its service team. The role covers a full range of workshop duties, from unloading shipment containers to basic preparation of new forklifts.
Key responsibilities
- Basic preparation of new and used forklifts
- Forklift operations
- Assisting the workshop when needed
- Washing down and detailing machines
- Picking up and delivering goods
- Packing and shipping orders
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Unpacking overseas freight
- Other duties that may be reasonably required from time to time
Required profile
- Genuine interest in mechanical equipment
- Ability to undertake manual physical work
- Punctual, reliable and energetic
- At least 12 months' experience as a trades assistant
- Manual driver's licence
- Forklift licence; HR driver's licence preferred but not essential
