Trades Assistant / Assembly Worker

About the role

EIR Labour Hire is recruiting a Trades Assistant / Assembly Worker in Chermside, QLD for a temporary position with a well-established Australian manufacturer supplying products to the mining, irrigation, civil and water infrastructure industries. The role suits someone who enjoys building things and wants a stable job with career progression; full training is provided and the position is open to candidates without a trade qualification.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble metal and plastic products
• Use hand and power tools
• Read simple job sheets and drawings
• Perform quality and pressure testing
• Prepare products for dispatch
• Carry out general workshop duties

Required profile

• Mechanically minded and hands-on
• Reliable with a strong work ethic
• Comfortable using hand tools and measuring equipment
• Manufacturing, assembly or trade assistant experience is a bonus but not essential
• Full Australian working rights are essential
