Tours Manager

About the role

Cooinda Lodge Kakadu is seeking a seasoned tourism professional to lead and inspire our team in delivering unforgettable tours and experiences throughout Kakadu National Park, including the iconic Yellow Water Cruises. This hands‑on position combines leadership, customer service excellence, and operational oversight in one of Australia’s most iconic destinations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of storytellers and guides to deliver high‑quality tours.
• Manage all tour logistics, including scheduling, transportation, safety compliance and equipment.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders such as park authorities, cultural centres and partner operators.
• Drive product development and continuous improvement of tour offerings.
• Ensure compliance with licensing, first‑aid, and tour‑guide accreditation requirements.
• Monitor customer feedback and maintain exceptional service standards.

Required profile

• Proven ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments.
• Strong understanding of emerging trends in tourism and hospitality.
• Demonstrated experience coaching, mentoring and inspiring teams.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and networking skills.
• Solid business acumen with strategic planning capability.
• High personal integrity, entrepreneurial spirit and energy.
• Flexibility and resilience to adapt to change.
