Therapy Assistant – Part‑time (Bull Creek)

About the role

The Therapy Assistant will join RAAFA’s Bull Creek facilities, supporting residents at Alice Ross‑King Care Centre and Gordon Lodge. Working closely with the Lifestyle Coordinator and Occupational Therapist, you will help design and deliver one‑to‑one and group therapy activities that enhance residents’ wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of therapy programs, including both group and individual sessions.
• Help assess residents’ needs and preferences to develop appropriate activities.
• Supervise volunteers who support therapy programmes.
• Complete accurate documentation and reporting of sessions and resident outcomes.
• Communicate results and observations to Allied Health and Clinical teams.

Required profile

• Certificate III in Allied Health or a comparable qualification.
• Demonstrated experience working in residential aged‑care settings.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Proactive, flexible with start and finish times, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Empathy for elderly residents and excellent time‑management and organisational abilities.
