Test Lab Technician

About the role

As a Test Lab Technician you will ensure assistive technology and rehabilitation equipment meets Australian and international standards within Novita’s NATA‑accredited laboratory. You will combine hands‑on testing with problem‑solving, quality assurance and stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct testing of rehabilitation and assistive technology equipment against relevant standards.
• Operate and maintain specialised testing equipment and laboratory systems.
• Analyse test results, provide technical recommendations and prepare accurate technical reports.
• Support quality, compliance and NATA accreditation requirements.
• Assist in developing and improving testing methods and procedures.

Required profile

• Experience in a technical, engineering, manufacturing, testing or quality assurance environment.
• Ability to interpret and apply technical standards, procedures and specifications.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a practical approach to troubleshooting.
• Well‑developed communication skills and ability to work with a range of stakeholders.

Required skills

• Product testing and laboratory equipment operation.
• Technical report preparation and documentation.
• Knowledge of NATA accreditation and ISO quality systems.
• Relevant trade qualification (Certificate III/IV) or Diploma in Mechanical, Biomedical or Manufacturing Engineering.
