Territory Sales Manager - Ruminant

About the role

A leading global animal health company is looking for a Territory Sales Manager to cover the Central/Southern NSW region. The role promotes and drives sales of over-the-counter biopharma and identification products for production animals, focusing on rural distributors, primary producers, veterinarians and key agricultural influencers. It is a permanent, full-time, field-based role with tools of trade such as car, laptop, iPad and phone, based preferably in Orange, Goulburn, Young and surrounding areas.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with rural distributors, primary producers, veterinarians and key influencers, and deliver key account-focused sales
• Steward technical support, product training and marketing across the region, and work with the Sales Manager on sell-in strategies, stock levels and marketing initiatives
• Ensure brand campaigns run effectively, including point-of-sale material distribution
• Provide product training to distributor staff and carry out on-farm visits
• Identify new product and market opportunities, report market intelligence and recommend innovations
• Deliver corporate, brand and technical presentations to customers and consumers
• Maintain accurate CRM and account data, record call schedules and call reporting

Required profile

• Sales or territory management experience is highly regarded; candidates from agriculture starting a sales career are encouraged to apply
• Strong sales ability, commercial acumen and key account management experience are an advantage
• Excellent relationship building, communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently in a regional environment while being a collaborative team member
• Comfortable analysing sales data and interpreting market trends
