Terminal Operator (LPG)

About the role

Join Origin Energy’s Cavan LPG terminal as a Terminal Operator. You’ll work hands‑on in a close‑knit team, handling LPG cylinders and trucks while ensuring safe, reliable service throughout the peak season.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, check, load, unload and dispatch LPG consignments in line with operating procedures.
• Maintain stock of full, tested LPG exchange cylinders and bulk tanks.
• Deliver LPG cylinders to domestic and commercial customers by truck.
• Carry out repairs and retests on LPG cylinders and bulk vessels.
• Record and control movements of all LPG cylinders and bulk tanks, including regular stock‑taking.
• Assist with weekly and monthly checks of the terminal, fire‑protection system, LPG vehicles and complete required checklists.

Required profile

• Physically fit and able to lift 25 kg LPG cylinders repeatedly.
• Strong team player with a calm, focused approach in busy or emergency situations.
• Current Forklift Licence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal and external stakeholder interaction.
• Willingness to perform basic clerical tasks as needed.
