Temporary Full-Time TAS Teacher

About the role

Catholic Education Diocese of Wollongong is advertising a temporary full-time position as a TAS teacher at Corpus Christi Catholic High School in Oak Flats, NSW. The role starts on 28 January 2027 (earlier start possible) and runs until 26 January 2028. The successful applicant will teach TAS, supporting students' growth in faith and improvement in learning so they can reach their full potential.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L
• Plan and deliver effective teaching and learning in TAS
• Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning
• Engage professionally with colleagues, parents/carers and the wider school community

Required profile

• Deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic school within the broader Catholic Church
• Knowledge of the diverse needs of students and ability to support their full participation in learning
• Appropriate qualifications for teaching the nominated Key Learning Area(s)
• Level B accreditation under the To Work, Teach and Lead policy, or a commitment to achieve it within five years of employment with CEDoW
• Registered to teach with NESA
• Working With Children Check (WWCC) before employment, as the role is child-related

Desirable

• Experience teaching Stage 6 TAS
• Well-developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, strong organisational skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team
