Telehealth Doctor (Independent Contractor)

About the role

InstantScripts is looking for experienced Doctors and General Practitioners to provide patient‑centred telehealth consultations across Australia. This is an independent‑contractor (ABN) position that lets you work from the comfort of your home while delivering high‑quality, regulated medical care.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct virtual consultations and prescribe securely using InstantScripts’ platform.
• Maintain rigorous clinical standards and patient safety in every interaction.
• Utilise My Health Records and AI‑assisted note‑taking tools to streamline documentation.
• Adhere to the governance framework set by Wesfarmers Health and Wesfarmers Boards.

Required profile

• Australian residency with the right to work (no sponsorship).
• Current AHPRA registration without restrictions.
• Minimum PGY4 experience in General Medicine or General Practice.
• Availability for at least 7‑10 rostered hours per week.
• Strong communication skills and comfort with digital health technology.

Required skills

• Proficiency with My Health Records.
• Experience using AI tools for medical note taking.
• Ability to navigate a telehealth platform securely (2‑factor authentication, ISMS 27001 compliance).
