Telehealth Doctor - Contractor | Flexible Hours | Evening Shifts Available

About the role

Alternaleaf is seeking AHPRA‑registered medical practitioners to join its growing telehealth team. The role is contract‑based, offering flexible evening shifts (typically 5 pm–10 pm AEST/AEDT) and the opportunity to provide high‑quality virtual care to a diverse Australian patient base.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct telehealth consultations, assess patients, prescribe S4 & S8 medications, and arrange follow‑up care.
• Collaborate with registered nurses and clinical support staff to ensure seamless patient journeys.
• Maintain accurate, compliant documentation within a digital‑first environment.
• Utilise modern digital tools to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• PGY4 or higher with a general AHPRA registration free of conditions or restrictions.
• Comfortable managing a varied caseload across age groups and clinical presentations via telehealth.
• Willingness to work evening hours, especially in Western Australia, though other locations are also welcome.

Required skills

• Prescribing of Schedule 4 (S4) and Schedule 8 (S8) medications.
• Proficiency with digital health platforms and electronic medical record systems.
