Tele Service Consultant

About the role

TAL, a life insurer backed by Daiichi Life, is hiring a Tele Service Consultant in Sydney. The consultant supports members through their life insurance application process by conducting full application calls (Tele Interviews) and Tele Underwriting conversations that collect additional information for Underwriters, ensuring details are accurate and member queries are answered clearly.

Key responsibilities

• Complete full insurance application interviews and follow-up Tele Underwriting calls.
• Ask prescribed health, lifestyle and employment questions and document responses accurately.
• Deliver underwriting decisions to members and explain them clearly where needed.
• Handle inbound and outbound calls, working through daily outbound call lists.
• Maintain high service, compliance and quality standards and meet quality targets.
• Support team members and identify process or member experience improvements.
• Follow TAL policies, customer service standards and regulatory requirements, and proactively raise compliance breaches.

Required profile

• Strong customer service skills or phone-based or contact centre experience.
• Open to candidates at various career stages, including fresh graduates.
• Confident, conversational communicator able to guide members through complex topics.
• Excellent listening, questioning and documentation skills.

• High level of accuracy, especially with numbers.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
