Customer Service Insurance Agent (Temporary)

About the role

Mayday Recruitment is partnering with leading insurance clients in Sydney CBD and North Sydney for a busy period, offering several temporary Customer Service Insurance Agent positions in inbound and retention teams. The work is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8am to 7pm on roster shifts, and suits people who enjoy fast-paced contact centres and building customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound customer calls in a busy contact centre.
• Answer enquiries about home, pet and boat insurance and other products.
• Help customers with renewals, premium enquiries, policy changes and account maintenance.
• Run retention conversations to keep existing customers and reduce cancellations.

Required profile

• Previous contact centre or high-volume customer service experience; insurance experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills and confidence handling difficult conversations.
• Attention to detail and a results-focused approach.
• Confident using Microsoft Office and online systems.

What we offer

• Immediate start.
• 3 to 6 month temporary assignments, full time.
• Pay of $38-40 per hour plus superannuation.
• Full onboarding and ongoing training, with established insurance providers.
