Technician / Die Setter

About the role

The Molding Technician position is a hands‑on role focused on setting up and adjusting blow‑molding equipment and ancillary systems to ensure high‑quality production. You will work closely with the shift supervisor and operators to meet production plans and maintain safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform changeovers and set‑up of product tooling, including colour and material changes, according to the production schedule.
• Adjust machines using setup sheets, maintain ancillary equipment such as blenders, leak detectors, robotic and IML systems, and vision systems.
• Troubleshoot processes, conduct part inspections, verify paperwork, and ensure compliance with quality, weight and cycle‑time targets.
• Prioritise work to meet customer delivery dates, perform mechanical maintenance on machines and ancillary equipment, and operate forklifts as needed.
• Work overtime and weekends when required, and assist with packing during breaks.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience in process, die set‑up or die maintenance within a plastics manufacturing environment.
• Technical aptitude for troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Demonstrated experience with extrusion blow‑molding machines and knowledge of plastic materials and mold design.
