Technician, Asset Health

About the role

As a Technician, Asset Health you will support Newmont Tanami’s asset management team by monitoring equipment condition and contributing to preventative and predictive maintenance programmes. The role is based on‑site in a FIFO schedule, working closely with maintenance crews to ensure safe and reliable mine operations.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and analyse asset health data (vibration, temperature, oil condition) to identify trends and potential failure points.
• Inspect critical equipment, record wear, condition and performance metrics.
• Support condition‑based monitoring (CBM) strategies to optimise asset life.
• Maintain accurate records for predictive maintenance planning and generate regular condition reports.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to prioritise repairs based on asset condition and risk.
• Identify high‑risk assets and recommend preventative actions.
• Follow all safety procedures and standards during inspections and field activities.

Required profile

• Experience in asset health, maintenance, reliability or condition monitoring roles.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret condition data.
• Understanding of preventative and predictive maintenance principles.
• Clear documentation skills and accurate record‑keeping.
• Effective communication and teamwork with maintenance personnel.
• Proactive problem‑solving and risk identification.
• Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
