Technical Trainer

About the role

Based in Clayton, Victoria, the Technical Trainer will use extensive mechanical and mobile‑plant experience to design and deliver engaging training on Caterpillar equipment, systems and safety. This permanent full‑time position reports to the Training & Business Development Manager and supports teams and customers across Victoria and Tasmania.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver technical and safety training on Caterpillar mobile plant, equipment and systems.
• Identify skills gaps and collaborate with managers to create practical training solutions.
• Develop and maintain training materials, learning plans and course content.
• Travel to William Adams branches and customer sites across Victoria and Tasmania to deliver training.

Required profile

• Mechanical trade qualification, preferably in Mobile Plant.
• Extensive hands‑on experience with mobile plant or heavy construction equipment.
• Strong communication, presentation and people skills.
• Experience in training, mentoring, coaching or developing others.
• Commitment to safety and willingness to obtain a Cert IV in Training and Assessment if not already held.
