Technical Team Leader

About the role

Vix Technology is looking for a passionate Technical Team Leader to guide a group of engineers in building scalable, maintainable software that powers public transportation systems. Based in Melbourne or Perth with a hybrid schedule (three days onsite), you will shape the future of mobility technology while fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a development team by providing technical guidance, mentoring, and support to ensure successful project delivery.
• Design and architect scalable, maintainable software solutions aligned with business goals.
• Drive best practices in code quality, testing, documentation, and DevOps automation.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Architects, and Stakeholders to define technical requirements and priorities.
• Manage technical risks, resolve blockers, and ensure timely delivery within Agile frameworks.
• Promote a positive team culture that encourages innovation, learning, and accountability.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with demonstrated leadership in technical roles.
• Strong expertise in software architecture, design patterns, and system integration.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and modern application frameworks.
• Experience leading Agile development teams and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field is preferred.
