Audit Manager – Business Technology

About the role

The Audit Manager – Business Technology provides independent third‑line assurance over technology risks embedded in business processes, customer journeys, products, systems and applications. Reporting to the Audit Director, the role works across the customer value chain and with specialist internal audit teams.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to Business Technology audit engagements, delivering specialist technology assurance within integrated audits.
• Manage assigned audit activities, ensuring delivery within agreed timelines and scope while escalating risks early.
• Support risk identification and audit scoping by applying knowledge of business processes, technology dependencies and relevant controls.
• Apply Internal Audit methodology, Global Internal Audit Standards and relevant risk frameworks to produce evidence‑based conclusions.
• Utilise data analytics, automation and audit tools to strengthen testing and analysis.
• Engage professionally with business, technology and risk stakeholders, raising issues promptly.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of audit methodology, evidence standards and reporting, applied to technology or integrated assurance engagements.
• Working knowledge of technology risks and controls within business processes, systems and applications.
• Experience contributing to technology, business process or integrated assurance activities, including governance and risk management assessments.
• Familiarity with ANZ Technology Risk and Information Security frameworks, policies and standards.
• Ability to use data analytics, automation and audit tools to support testing and conclusions.
• Professional engagement skills with stakeholders and a strong speak‑up culture.
