Technical Support Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Support Specialist to join Experteq’s Service Centre. The role provides first‑line and limited second‑line support for Windows Server, third‑party applications, user endpoints and general administration for a portfolio of banking, finance and government clients. The specialist will handle requests via phone, email or ServiceNow and participate in a 24 × 7 roster.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact, delivering Level 1 and limited Level 2 support to clients.
• Log, manage and resolve incidents and service requests using ServiceNow.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot software and hardware on Windows 10/11 endpoints.
• Liaise with internal teams and clients to resolve technical issues.
• Assist in developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures.
• Participate in project work and ad‑hoc tasks as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years hands‑on IT support experience in a corporate environment.
• Sydney‑based and able to work on‑site for rostered shifts.
• Australian citizenship.
• Customer‑focused with a proven record of delivering excellent service.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Windows Server administration.
• ServiceNow incident, request and CMDB familiarity.
• Microsoft Fundamentals certification (AZ 900, MS 900) or equivalent.
• Azure fundamentals – resource groups, VMs, identity.
• Networking basics – DNS, DHCP, IP addressing, routing.
• Microsoft 365 admin – user provisioning, Outlook, MFA, licensing.
• Windows 10 and Windows 11 support.
• Active Directory – accounts, groups, password resets, GPOs.
• Endpoint management – basic Intune/Azure portal navigation.
• ITIL knowledge.
