Technical Support Lead

About the role

Egis Group is seeking a hands‑on Technical Support Lead to manage frontline IT across its four Queensland offices. You will provide Level 2 support for hardware, software and AV systems while acting as the trusted technology partner for engineering and project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Brisbane IT support, managing one direct report and delivering Level 2 hardware and software assistance.
• Own meeting‑room and AV/video‑conferencing technology (Teams Rooms, displays, microphones) across all sites.
• Manage device lifecycle – imaging, deployment, patching, break/fix, hardware refresh, onboarding and off‑boarding.
• Handle ticket management, documentation, escalation per ITIL and report on SLAs, ticket trends and asset/license compliance.
• Maintain software asset and license compliance and lead communication/training for technology changes.
• Act as the primary local liaison with the global IT organisation and champion diversity, inclusion and HSE practices.

Required profile

• A degree in Computer Science, IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong Level 2 hardware, software, networking and cloud support experience; exposure to engineering software a plus.
• Practical experience supporting meeting‑room/AV and conferencing technology.
• Solid ITIL grounding and enterprise technology management experience.
• Commercial acumen for budgeting, asset lifecycle and cost control.
• Excellent stakeholder management and a proactive, solutions‑driven mindset.
