Technical Project Manager - SAP SuccessFactors / LMS

About the role

Hays is recruiting, on behalf of a large Queensland Government organisation, an experienced Technical Project Manager for a significant statewide digital transformation initiative. The program implements SAP SuccessFactors to deliver a modern Learning Management Solution and build foundations for workforce mobility through Employee Central. The role leads end-to-end delivery of a complex, enterprise-scale implementation, providing senior technical and project leadership across the program.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery across scope, schedule, budget, quality, risks, dependencies and resources.
• Provide technical leadership across solution architecture, system integration, technical design, development, testing and implementation.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams across architecture, engineering, development, testing and data.
• Manage phased technical releases and complex implementation dependencies.
• Oversee data transition, including migration, validation, archiving and legacy system decommissioning.
• Manage executive stakeholders, vendors and professional services providers.
• Lead operational readiness, knowledge transfer and transition into BAU.

Required profile

• Minimum of seven years' experience in senior technical project management roles, leading complex, large-scale implementations and multidisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated data migration and transition experience, including legacy-system archiving and decommissioning.
• Strong stakeholder, vendor, negotiation and influencing capabilities at an executive level.
• Experience in Queensland Government or a comparable public-sector environment is highly regarded.

Required skills

• Enterprise technology implementation, ideally SAP SuccessFactors Learning, Employee Central or comparable platforms.
• Technical delivery across architecture, integrations, development, testing, data and enterprise solution implementation.
• Methodologies such as PRINCE2, MSP, ITIL, Agile or SAFe; SAP Activate experience is well regarded.
• SAP BTP and Integration Suite experience is highly regarded.
