Technical Production and Operations Officer

About the role
The Technical Production and Operations Officer will join the Technical Production and Operations team within the Cultural and Community Hub division of Greater Dandenong City Council. This role supports the delivery of high‑quality technical, production and operational services for cultural, civic and community venues.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating hirers to understand and meet their technical requirements.
- Supervise technical support staff as directed.
- Provide technical and customer service for performances, functions and events across all cultural and community hubs.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for all events.
- Ensure all equipment is well maintained, audited, set up and operating smoothly for events.
Required profile
- Diploma or certificate in a technical field, or equivalent specialist qualifications with relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated experience in technical operation of live theatre, performing arts centres or community venues.
- Experience across theatre lighting, sound or staging.
- Ability to support and guide technical staff.
- Proven teamwork in a small‑team environment and flexibility to work varied hours, including overtime.
