Technical Lead | Senior Manager - Guidewire

About the role

PwC's Guidewire team delivers end-to-end Guidewire suite implementations to insurance clients across Australia, advising ASX organisations, not-for-profits and private clients. It is looking for a Technical Lead / Senior Manager to grow the Guidewire practice in PwC Australia, working from anywhere and leading a team that helps clients use technology in financial services such as insurance, sales performance management, retirement and pensions, asset management and banking and capital markets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of Guidewire experts and help resolve complex business issues from strategy to execution.
• Use knowledge from major Guidewire implementations to grow the Guidewire practice in PwC Australia.
• Work with client business SMEs to understand requirements and turn them into viable solutions.
• Coordinate build, deployment and code merge activities.
• Triage and solve technical problems, including design and development defects.

Required profile

• Degree in a relevant field.
• Real-time knowledge of enterprise system integration, preferably with an insurance background.
• Experience in software architecture and design patterns, and strong understanding of software development best practices.
• Leadership skills, team-leading ability and strong business communication skills.
• Experience with client business SMEs and technical problem solving.

Required skills

• Guidewire Cloud, PolicyCenter (preferred); Billing Center and Claim Center considered.
• Guidewire Digital, Integration and Data Technologies (Jutro, Data Studio, Explore, Integration Gateway).
• Guidewire platform tools: Cloud Console, Gosu scripting, PCFs, Data Model, Visual Studio Code / JetBrains, JMS, JSON, Node.js, HTML, CSS, REST API, Git / Bitbucket.
• Oracle, SQL Server or Postgres, with strong SQL.
• Platforms that integrate with Guidewire, such as electronic content management, finance solutions and middleware.
