Technical Lead - SAP CAP Consultant

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Lead who will own the design, development and delivery of SAP CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model) solutions. The role combines strategic architecture responsibilities with hands‑on coding, ensuring high‑quality, scalable services that integrate with S/4HANA and other systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain SAP CAP services using Node.js or Java.
• Build and expose OData (v4) and REST APIs.
• Define CDS data models, service layers and business logic aligned with clean‑core principles.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across CAP services, data models and integrations.
• Set and enforce CAP development standards, patterns and best practices.
• Review solution designs, code and pull requests for quality and consistency.
• Mentor junior developers and lead by example through hands‑on coding.
• Collaborate with BTP, Integration and Architecture specialists.

Required profile

• 5+ years of SAP development experience, with strong hands‑on SAP CAP expertise.
• Proven ability to lead CAP projects while remaining technically involved.
• Experience integrating CAP services with S/4HANA and consuming them via Fiori/UI5 or other front‑end frameworks.
• Exposure to event‑driven or API‑led architectures.
