Technical Lead - SaaS Mining & Resources

About the role

A SaaS company serving the mining, resources and energy sectors is strengthening its engineering leadership team by hiring a Technical Lead. The role combines hands-on development with technical leadership, mentoring and architectural contribution, in a fully remote position anywhere in Australia. It is a permanent, full-time role aligned to Queensland business hours.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver high-quality software solutions while staying hands-on with coding and implementation
• Lead technical design and architectural decisions
• Drive engineering best practices, development standards and continuous improvement
• Contribute to CI/CD, DevOps and automation initiatives
• Improve platform scalability, reliability and performance
• Support cloud-based solutions and Azure-hosted environments

Required profile

• 8+ years of software development experience
• Previous experience as a Senior Developer, Lead Developer, Technical Lead, Engineering Manager or Solution Architect
• Collaborative leader who balances hands-on work with mentoring and technical leadership
• Thrives in remote environments and adapts quickly to changing priorities

Required skills

• C#.NET, SQL Server, Entity Framework
• REST APIs, JavaScript / TypeScript
• Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines
• Solution architecture
• Highly desirable: Vue.js, Ionic, microservices, Azure Functions, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Highly desirable: Azure certifications (AZ-204, AZ-104, AZ-400 or AZ-305)
