Technical Delivery Manager – .NET (Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Delivery Manager with strong .NET development background to lead end‑to‑end delivery of enterprise digital applications for a leading government organisation. This 12‑month contract (with extensions up to three years) can be based in Sydney CBD (three days onsite) or worked 100% remotely from anywhere in Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Lead full‑lifecycle technical delivery across multiple digital programmes.
• Manage resourcing, risks, schedules and release plans.
• Oversee data migration and enterprise system changes.
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers, technical leads and external vendors.
• Provide technical leadership to multi‑functional teams.
• Handle progress reporting, change governance and risk management.
• Manage IT partners, development and production environments.
• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of hands‑on .NET development experience.
• At least 2 years in a technical delivery or similar leadership role.
• Proven experience designing solutions for complex enterprise landscapes on‑premise and hybrid cloud.
• Strong competency in technical project management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Experience with progress reporting, change governance and risk management.
• Experience managing vendors and partner relationships.
• Australian working rights.
