Team Manager – Store Operations

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Team Manager to lead the Proactive Services team across multiple Woolworths stores. You will ensure trolleys are available, stores remain clean and safe, and support colleagues to deliver an excellent shopping experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team responsible for cleaning, trolley collection and waste management.
• Create and manage rosters to cover all daily operational tasks.
• Collaborate with Store Leadership to identify challenges, opportunities and priorities.
• Handle time‑and‑attendance duties, track hours, manage absences and ensure policy compliance.
• Order and manage consumables such as cleaning supplies within budget.
• Perform hands‑on operational tasks alongside the team, including cleaning, trolley collection and waste handling.

Required profile

• Ambitious mindset with a passion for retail and people development.
• Flexibility to work across various environments – shop floor, fridges, freezers and car parks.
• Strong attention to detail and a good eye for cleanliness.
• Physical fitness to perform demanding tasks.
• Organised and able to ensure the team has necessary equipment and supplies.
• Comfortable working within regulated frameworks such as Food Safety and industrial regulations.
• Valid full Australian driver’s licence (Green P’s or full licence) for trolley collection vehicles.

• Experience in roster creation and workforce scheduling.
• Budget management for consumables.
• Knowledge of food safety and industrial compliance standards.
