About the role
AECOM is seeking an experienced leader to head its Environment team in Canberra, focusing on Contaminated Land and Environmental Impact Assessment projects. The role offers relocation assistance and the chance to shape a high‑performing team while contributing to strategic growth.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary environment team, fostering collaboration, technical excellence, safety and quality.
- Drive business development by building strong client relationships and supporting proposal and bid activities.
- Oversee delivery of contaminated‑land and environmental impact assessment projects, ensuring technical guidance and client satisfaction.
- Mentor and develop team members at all levels, supporting career progression and future leadership.
- Maintain trusted relationships with senior stakeholders through effective communication and negotiation.
Required profile
- Proven leadership experience in environmental consulting, preferably with contaminated‑land or EIA projects.
- Strong client‑facing skills and a track record of contributing to business growth.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
- Willingness to relocate to Canberra and work onsite.
