Team Leader & Production Manager – Pig Farming

About the role

We are looking for an experienced livestock professional to lead our farrowing operations and manage a small team on a progressive pig‑farming business. The role combines people management with hands‑on animal care in a modern, family‑friendly environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily team meetings, delegate tasks and communicate priorities to a crew of 3‑4 staff.
• Support onboarding, training, roster planning and staff development.
• Oversee the full breeding cycle of 440 sows, from AI to farrowing, and manage pigs through all production phases to finishing.
• Control feed and animal‑health inventories, ensuring biosecurity and high animal‑welfare standards.
• Act as the liaison between the team and owners, helping prioritize work across farrowing, machinery and beef systems.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in livestock or pork production.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate a small team.
• Practical, solution‑focused attitude with a commitment to animal welfare and biosecurity.
• Ability to work a regular 7:30 am–4:00 pm, Monday‑Friday schedule with light duties every third weekend.
