Team Leader Operational Procurement

About the role

You will lead a small, high‑performing procurement team delivering operational procurement outcomes that support Transport’s strategic priorities. The role combines people leadership with hands‑on delivery, influencing outcomes and building strong stakeholder relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a procurement team, providing coaching and trusted advice.
• Partner with stakeholders across the organisation to deliver customer‑focused, solutions‑oriented procurement.
• Ensure procurement activities are practical, compliant and deliver value for money.
• Contribute to continuous improvement across procurement services.

Required profile

• Experienced procurement professional with strong knowledge of NSW Government procurement frameworks.
• Collaborative leader who builds capability in others and fosters strong stakeholder relationships.
• Demonstrated commercial acumen, sound judgement and risk‑aware decision making.

Required skills

• Experience using procurement systems such as SAP, Ariba or similar.

What we offer

• Permanent full‑time position with a salary range of $124,810 – $139,787 per year.
