Team Leader Land Use Planning

About the role

Lead strategic land use planning initiatives and a team of planning professionals to shape the future of Parramatta. You will develop planning frameworks, policies and precinct plans while collaborating across Council.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of innovative land use strategies that support Council and State Government priorities.
• Manage complex strategic projects and multidisciplinary teams using contemporary project management practices.
• Collaborate across Council and manage funding opportunities to deliver integrated land use outcomes for key precincts.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in statutory or strategic land use planning with strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Proven ability to lead diverse, multidisciplinary teams and resolve high‑priority, sensitive matters.
• Detailed understanding of relevant legislative and regulatory requirements and practical application of this knowledge.
