Team Leader - Client Engagement

About the role

BFS Children's Services, a not-for-profit early education provider with 40+ community preschools, long day care and out of school hours care centres, is looking for a Temporary Team Leader - Client Engagement to join its Client Engagement Team in Head Office. The role is based in Wollongong with hybrid working options possible, and runs from February 2027 to October 2027 on a part-time basis of 7.6 hours, two days per week (Thursday and Friday).

Key responsibilities

• Deliver customer service and collect and report company revenue accurately and on time.
• Proactively identify issues, opportunities and solutions to support risk management, financial performance and the sustainability of the organisation.
• Work closely with the Finance Team, Operations Manager, Program Managers, support staff and Centre Directors.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience collecting parent fees on time and accurately under the childcare subsidy scheme.
• Demonstrated experience advising customers accurately and on time in a customer-focused environment.
• Demonstrated experience managing and producing statutory reports, and leading a client engagement team or similar.
• Demonstrated experience developing financial models, scenario plans and business cases.
• Ability to use data metrics to inform planning and decision making.
• Knowledge of the early childhood and out of school hours sector is desirable.
• Cleared NSW Working with Children's Check, cleared National Criminal Record Check, completed the National Child Safety Training Foundation Course, and evidence of two referees (one a manager or supervisor).
