Team Lead - L4111

About the role

Rheinmetall is recruiting a Team Lead for the L4111 production line at its Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence (MILVEHCOE) in Redbank. Reporting to the Production Manager, the Team Lead leads a team of mechanics, auto-electricians, production workers and trade assistants to deliver allocated work packages in line with business targets. The role provides day-to-day leadership through work allocation, performance monitoring, coaching and development, and ensures a safe work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of mechanics, auto-electricians, production workers and trade assistants to deliver work packages according to business targets.
• Allocate work, monitor performance, coach and develop team members.
• Ensure a safe work environment.
• Work closely with the Production Manager, quality and other teams along the production floor to drive continuous improvement and meet operational targets.

Required profile

• A relevant trade qualification (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics).
• Cert IV in Leadership and Management or Training and Assessing.
• Proven experience in a vehicle, defence or other heavy vehicle industry role.
• Proven experience as a Team Lead in a production environment.
• Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government security clearance (Australian citizenship required).

Required skills

• Detailed knowledge of assembly technologies and standards, including assembly tooling and workshop equipment.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, work instructions and specifications.
• Experience setting up and maintaining an assembly workshop to technical standards and industry best practice.
