Team Lead for Mining Operational Applications

About the role

Lead a high‑performing team of Application Specialists responsible for the stability, performance and continuous improvement of Mineral Resources' Mining Operational Application Portfolio. This role sits at the intersection of technical leadership, subject‑matter expertise and stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop Application Specialists, fostering accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Manage workload, coverage and rostering to meet service levels and act as primary escalation point for complex incidents.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operational support for mining applications, analytics platforms and underlying systems, ensuring compliance with policies, cybersecurity and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with project teams to transition solutions into steady‑state support and maintain up‑to‑date documentation.
• Serve as primary SME and vendor liaison for the mining operational application portfolio.
• Identify and implement process optimisation, automation and efficiency gains.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualifications in IT, Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Proven application support experience with team‑lead or supervisory responsibilities.
• Experience in mining industry technology and operational applications.
• Strong problem‑solving ability under pressure and excellent leadership and communication skills.

• Datamine MineMarket, AVEVA Production Management (Ampla), Datamine CCLAS, GE Proficy Historian, Xecute, Kepware, Wenco.
• SCADA, OPC‑DA, OPC‑UA, B2MML, Industry 4.0 concepts.
• AWS IoT Platform (IoT Core, Greengrass, IoT SiteWise).
• SQL and Python.
• Power BI, Tableau, Grafana.
• Understanding of ITIL framework, change management and service management principles.
