Team Lead - Asset Management

About the role

Verbrec, an ASX-listed engineering, operations and asset management company with over 600 team members across Australia and New Zealand, is hiring a Team Lead for its Asset Management team in its new Brisbane CBD head office. The role leads a team of asset management professionals and takes ownership of a portfolio of asset management projects, working with existing national clients on operational readiness and asset performance improvement. The Asset Management team is described as a high-performing group of Maintenance, Reliability and Integrity professionals serving the Mining and Energy sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver operational readiness activities, including maintenance strategy development, spares assessments, CMMS builds, and development of operations and maintenance procedures.
• Develop preventative maintenance plans and procedures for critical equipment, integrated with existing maintenance systems.
• Work with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely availability of spare parts and equipment.
• Review, implement and improve asset management systems and processes.
• Provide technical support and guidance to the team and foster continuous improvement.
• Identify new work opportunities and support the growth of the asset management group.

Required profile

• Ideally a background in hydrocarbons, manufacturing or mining with a track record of meeting project timelines.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Extensive experience, preferably in maintenance and/or operations and AM consulting teams.
• Demonstrated experience leading teams.
• Willingness to travel and undertake site work as required.
• Desirable: reliability/maintenance engineering certifications such as Certified Reliability Engineer or CMRP.

Required skills

• Experience developing and managing CMMS and/or integrity systems and databases (Oracle, Maximo, SAP, JDE, MEX).
• Root cause analysis, FMECA/FMEA and equipment hierarchy development.
• Using data to drive projects and reporting.
