Teacher of Language, Literacy and Numeracy (Paid to Learn)

About the role

TAFE NSW is recruiting Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) teachers to support students in building foundation skills, accessing further education and training and finding pathways to employment and community participation in remote NSW communities. The advertised location is Boggabilla, but opportunities are also open at Bourke, Brewarrina, Condobolin, Coomealla, Coonabarabran, Lake Cargelligo, Menindee, Walgett and Wilcannia campuses. Required profile

• A recognised Bachelor degree (AQF 7) in education with an LLND focus, or a postgraduate qualification (AQF 8 or higher) in LLND, or a qualification at AQF 5 or above with relevant LLND experience.
• Evidence of a VET teaching qualification, or willingness to complete the full-time 14-week Paid to Learn course.
• At least three years of post-qualification teaching experience in the Literacy and Numeracy sector, gained no more than five years ago.
• Successful applicants without a VET teaching qualification can be paid to learn while completing the 14-week course, with guaranteed work after completion.
• Working with Children Check, and Australian citizenship or permanent residency (or New Zealand citizenship with a current passport).

What we offer

• Salary package of $111,798 to $132,585, with a salary range of $98,499 to $116,813 per year plus employer superannuation and annual leave loading.
