Teacher (Middle / Upper Primary)

About the role

Liwara Catholic Primary School, a double-stream school in Greenwood, WA, is looking for a suitably qualified, experienced and dedicated teacher to plan and deliver an engaging learning program. This is an ongoing full-time position in middle or upper primary classes.

Required profile

• Active personal witness to the Catholic faith and capacity to contribute to the school's spiritual and community life
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families and the parish, and to promote the school values
• Competency in Catholic Identity, Community, Education and Stewardship
• Classroom teaching experience, including with students with additional learning needs
• Excellent classroom management skills
• High standards of professionalism, confidentiality and commitment to continuous professional growth

Required skills

• Sound knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum, with the ability to plan, teach and differentiate learning
• Familiarity with the Child Safe Framework and the Keeping Safe Curriculum
• Use of data to improve student outcomes
• Embedding technology in classroom practice

Qualifications

• Relevant four-year teaching qualification
• Accreditation to Teach Religious Education in a Catholic School (or willingness to attain it)
• Current registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia
• Working With Children Check
