Teacher - English (Advanced and Extension Preferred)

About the role

St Joseph's College, Banora Point, is recruiting a full-time permanent English teacher (1.0 FTE) to join its teaching staff. The college aims to help students become 'good Christians and good people' with a focus on its motto, Peace through Justice. Advanced and Extension English is preferred.

The appointment starts on 28 January 2027 and is permanent. Applicants must hold a valid NSW Working with Children Check, have full NESA accreditation and comply with the Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead Policy upon appointment.

Required profile

• Knowledge of and commitment to the Catholic ethos and mission of the school.
• Evidence of qualifications in a specialised faculty.
• Ability to work as a member of a team of professional teachers and to teach another subject.
• Willingness to contribute to a professional learning community and to support the religious dimension of the College.
• Application must include the nomination of two referees, one of whom must be a Parish Priest, Priest or Minister.
