Tax Manager to Director – Senior Tax Leadership Role

About the role

KPMG Australia is seeking experienced tax professionals to join its Tax division at the Manager, Senior Manager or Director level. The role offers the opportunity to work with leading Australian and multinational clients across a broad range of tax specialties.

Key responsibilities

• Provide corporate tax advisory and compliance services, ensuring alignment with ATO filing obligations.
• Lead M&A tax due diligence, structuring, modelling, and stamp duty matters for high‑value transactions.
• Deliver GST, payroll tax, superannuation and international trade advisory to diverse client portfolios.
• Oversee Global Mobility Services, advising on Australian and cross‑border tax implications for expatriate employees.
• Support performance and reward consulting for ASX200 and unlisted companies.
• Manage migration and visa advisory in collaboration with immigration specialists.
• Develop and implement transfer pricing strategies, documentation and compliance for multinational groups.
• Advise on tax governance, transparency and sustainability initiatives.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in accounting, law, finance or related field.
• Professional tax qualification (e.g., CPA, CA, CTA) and registration where applicable.
• Significant experience in Australian tax advisory, preferably across multiple tax streams.
• Demonstrated ability to lead client engagements and mentor junior staff.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
