Tax Manager - Accounting and Compliance

About the role

Our client, a leading global financial services organisation, is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join its Australian business. Reporting to senior finance leadership, you will own a broad range of Australian tax matters and collaborate with finance, operations and the wider business.

Key responsibilities

• Provide quality tax advice on projects in foreign countries and review local tax law for permanent establishment and entity choices.
• Work with the Group Tax team and local advisors to ensure direct, indirect and personal taxes are managed on taxable projects abroad.
• Maintain the tax, compliance and statutory returns calendar for the Australian business.
• Support project start‑ups and close‑outs with advisory on tax and registration requirements.
• Manage tax audits for the ANZ business and oversee reporting, valuation and pricing issues.
• Assist in mentoring, training and development of staff, reporting directly to the CFO.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting and/or Taxation with CA/CPA accreditation.
• 10+ years of corporate tax compliance experience, including international taxation.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills across a geographically diverse business.
• Ability to work autonomously and drive business improvements.
