Tax Analyst – Graduate & Undergraduate Program

About the role

Alvarez & Marsal is looking for high‑performing university students to join its Australian Tax Group in a Graduate and Undergraduate Tax Analyst program starting early 2027. The role offers exposure to a broad range of tax advisory work across multiple industries and locations in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Key responsibilities

• Research, write and support various tax advisory engagements, including complex tax and structuring advice.
• Undertake tax due diligence to identify key tax risks and develop mitigation strategies in M&A contexts.
• Assist clients with the preparation and review of tax compliance obligations.
• Support client interactions with revenue authorities, providing strategic advice on complex tax risks.
• Contribute to business development activities such as proposal preparation and market research.

Required profile

• University students who are at least two years into their studies and have a strong interest in tax.
• Top‑performing academic record and demonstrated analytical ability.
• Eagerness to gain professional experience in a fast‑paced advisory environment.
