Talent Acquisition Business Partner – Early Careers & Employment Programs

About the role

Yarra Trams is seeking a proactive Talent Acquisition Business Partner to lead the Early Careers and Employment Programs portfolio. This newly created role will shape recruitment strategy, build external partnerships and embed inclusive hiring practices.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement talent acquisition processes for apprentices, interns and graduate programs.
• Collaborate with DEI, Learning & Organisational Design, and Marketing teams to integrate recruitment workflows and employer branding.
• Manage relationships with external employment partners, universities, TAFEs and high schools to meet franchise targets.
• Deliver end‑to‑end support for high‑volume recruitment campaigns, including driver recruitment.
• Champion inclusive recruitment practices and contribute to continuous improvement of broader hiring processes.

Required profile

• Experienced talent acquisition professional with a strong background in early‑careers hiring.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, building trust at all organisational levels.
• Proven track record of developing and maintaining external education and employment partnerships.
• Familiarity with blue‑collar trades and operational recruitment environments.
