Talent Acquisition Advisor – Blue Collar Recruitment

About the role

As a Talent Acquisition Advisor you will lead the recruitment of skilled blue‑collar professionals for Thiess’ operations and maintenance teams. You will work closely with site leaders and HR to deliver timely hiring solutions that support safe and productive project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for roles such as fitters, operators, boilermakers, electricians and supervisors.
• Build strong partnerships with site managers, superintendents and HR to understand workforce needs.
• Develop and execute proactive sourcing strategies using job boards, social media, referrals and local networks.
• Ensure a responsive, respectful candidate experience with clear communication throughout the process.
• Collaborate on workforce planning to align hiring with project schedules.
• Promote inclusive hiring practices and seek talent from under‑represented communities.

Required profile

• Proven experience recruiting trades and operational roles, preferably in mining, construction or heavy industry.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, especially with site‑based leaders.
• Ability to manage multiple vacancies and tight deadlines in a high‑volume environment.
• Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in hiring.

Required skills

• Experience with Applicant Tracking System (ATS) platforms.
• Ability to produce recruitment reporting and analytics.
