TAFE Teacher – Automotive Light Vehicles

About the role

Join CQUniversity as a VET Teacher delivering the Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology. You will train apprentices in both workshop and classroom settings, sharing real‑world industry expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver hands‑on training and assessment for up to 22 hours of teaching per week.
• Prepare lesson plans, mark assessments and provide ongoing student support within paid hours.
• Mentor apprentices, guiding them to become confident, job‑ready graduates.

Required profile

• Minimum qualification in Automotive Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology.
• Current hands‑on industry experience in electrical installation, maintenance, fault finding, testing or commissioning.
• Willingness to work in a structured VET environment and obtain a fully funded TAE40122 teaching qualification.
