Systems Engineer (Integration and Test)

About the role

Northrop Grumman Australia is hiring a Systems Engineer (Integration and Test) based in Exmouth to help bring a major Defence communications capability into service. The work covers integration, verification and testing across hardware, software and infrastructure, alongside technicians and engineers. The program is still growing, so the role spans testing, maintenance support, systems engineering and operational readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Support integration, verification and testing activities across complex communications and mission systems.
• Investigate technical issues and work with engineers and technicians to find practical solutions.
• Contribute to system acceptance, operational readiness and government-led test programs.
• Review technical procedures, documentation and engineering artefacts to support quality outcomes.
• Work closely with local and remote stakeholders across Australia and the United States.

Required profile

• Australian citizenship and NV1 security clearance required, or ability to obtain and maintain it; international traffic in arms regulations apply.
• Experience in systems engineering, integration, testing, verification or validation within Defence or another complex technical environment.
• Eligible for Engineers Australia membership.
• Background in avionics, electrical or mechatronics engineering, or in aviation, sustainment, technical services or maintenance support.
• Ability to move between hands-on problem solving, technical analysis and engineering documentation.
