Systems Administrator – Shared Services Operations

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Systems Administrator to join our busy Shared Services Operations team. This hands‑on role will ensure the reliability, security and performance of our enterprise systems, servers, workstations and network‑connected infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Support and maintain enterprise systems, servers, workstations and related infrastructure.
• Provide Level 2/3 technical escalation and guidance to Service Desk teams.
• Tri­age, prioritise and resolve technical incidents and service requests.
• Manage system patching, backups and restore testing.
• Monitor system health, respond to outages and performance issues.
• Support Change Management activities, upgrades and infrastructure changes.
• Maintain asset registers, documentation and lifecycle management.
• Work with vendors on products, support and technical issues.

Required profile

• Practical, customer‑focused with strong troubleshooting and incident management capability.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and contribute within a broader IT operations team.

Required skills

• Strong experience supporting Windows‑based environments and enterprise infrastructure.
• Experience with server, desktop and network‑connected systems.
• Patch management, monitoring and backup technologies.
• Understanding of ITIL, Change Management and Problem Management processes.
• Good knowledge of ICT security and infrastructure best practices.
• Experience working with vendors and third‑party technology providers.
