Systems Administrator – Melbourne

About the role

Atturra Managed Services is seeking a Systems Administrator to provide advanced operational support and drive continuous improvement across both customer and internal environments. You will be responsible for maintaining platform health, resolving complex issues, and ensuring services meet agreed SLAs and security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform root‑cause analysis, implement permanent fixes and reduce recurring incidents.
• Maintain monitoring, alerting, patching and overall health of managed services platforms.
• Administer Microsoft Windows Server services (AD DS, DNS, DHCP, GPO, RDS, IIS) and Windows 10/11 endpoints.
• Manage Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Entra ID and Intune.
• Deploy, maintain and troubleshoot VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper‑V virtual environments.
• Administer enterprise backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault) and support disaster‑recovery activities.
• Create and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, Ansible) to improve service quality.
• Develop SOPs, knowledge‑base articles and contribute to tool standardisation.
• Participate in on‑call/after‑hours support as required.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑management mindset with experience in RCA and incident resolution.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Service Delivery Managers, project teams and customer stakeholders.
• Experience supporting Microsoft server and workstation platforms, virtualisation and backup technologies.
• Commitment to documentation quality and continuous service improvement.
